Food safety risks rise in New Zealand

New Zealand-based insurer Delta Insurance Group said that there has been an alarming rise in risks for food producers due to the number of overseas food recalls, Asia Insurance Review reported. Craig Kirk, chief executive of Delta Insurance, said, "We could also see that existing general liability insurance in the market fell well short of covering the potential risks and damage to companies that could arise from a major food issue."
