Bark beetle could cause nearly $2 billion of damage

The Czech Forest think tank said that the spread of bark beetle could cause $1.7 billion worth of damage to forests in the Czech Republic this year, Reuters reports. The think tank also said that around 30 million cubic meters of timber were affected this year by the pest.
