BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

Arch Capital Group Ltd. expects third-quarter pretax catastrophe-related losses to range from $65 million to $75 million, net of reinsurance recoveries and reinstatement premiums, the Bermuda-based insurer and reinsurer said Tuesday.

Losses stem primarily from Hurricane Dorian and Typhoon Faxai, Arch said in a statement.

The estimates are based on current information, the statement said.

Arch noted that “there are significant uncertainties surrounding the scope of damage for these events, as well as the other global events,” and “actual losses from these events may vary materially from the estimates due to the inherent uncertainties in making such determinations.”
