A report by the Reserve Bank of Australia said that climate change could emerge as a risk to the stability of financial institutions if not properly managed, or if losses related to climate change increased materially, Asia Insurance Review reports. Meanwhile, insurers are most directly exposed to the physical impacts of climate change, which include disruptions to economic activity or reductions in asset values.
