Heavy rains have damaged 250 billion Indian rupees ($3.5 billion) worth of crops in the Indian state of Gujarat, Devdiscourse reports citing the Press Trust of India. Nitin Patel, deputy chief minister of Gujarat, said, "Since a majority of rivers and ponds are filled to the brim, water is not receding from agriculture fields."
