UK's non-tariff costs of exporting red meat to EU to rise

Research by the Scottish Agricultural Organization Society Ltd. found that non-tariff costs of exporting red meat to the European Union could increase between £216 ($265) and £276 per shipment in the event of a no-deal Brexit, Farmers Guardian reports. Additional costs of £140-£200 associated with veterinary inspections are expected to increase the administrative cost for exporting red meat to the EU under the World Trade Organization rules.
