Water crisis threatens meat processing industry

Patrick Hutchinson, chief executive of the Australian Meat Industry Council, said that several sectors of the meat processing industry are at risk of disruption due to water-supply issues, GlobalMeatNews reported. "From washing stockyards through to sterilizers and hand washing to refrigeration and end of day cleaning operations, all will be at risk," Mr. Hutchinson said.
