MENA reinsurers to shift portfolios to less volatile segments

A report by U.S.-based ratings agency A.M. Best Co. Inc. said that reinsurers in the Middle East and North Africa are looking to alter their coverage portfolios in favor of new or less volatile segments, Middle East Insurance Review reports. They are also seeking to diversify their revenue streams as the MENA reinsurance is faced with challenging conditions, overcapacity, and increasing large-loss activity.
