Agricultural ban imposed following chemical plant fire

Authorities of the French city of Rouen have banned crop harvesting and the sale of animal after a fire ravaged a chemicals factory, France 24 reports citing Agence France-Presse. A fire broke out in U.S.-based industrial lubricants manufacturer Lubrizol Corp.'s storage facility near Rouen, spewing soot over some agricultural areas. The soot is "liable to present a public health risk," the authorities said.
