Earthquake Commission sets aside millions to reimburse insurers

The Earthquake Commission of New Zealand has set aside millions of dollars to reimburse insurers for Canterbury earthquake claim payouts, Newsroom reported. The insurers had agreed to pay claimants following the Canterbury quakes and seek reimbursements later, when the commission had more resources.
