Spanish floods cause more than $300 million in insured losses

Heavy rains lashed several provinces in southeastern Spain between Sept. 11 and Sept. 15, causing widespread flooding. The Spanish Insurance Consortium expects around $224 million worth of property and auto insurance claims, while the Spanish agricultural insurance association expects $93 million in claims.
