Blockades hamstring beef industry

The Meat Industry Ireland trade association said that delays caused by continued blockades outside 18 beef processing plants have caused the beef industry to lose €120 million ($132 million), AgriLand reported. The protests have reached the point of causing severe long-term damage to the industry, despite an agreement having been reached on Sep. 15.
