Initial talks underway to for mergers of four insurers

Fahd Al-Shathri, deputy governor of the Saudi Arabian Monetary Agency, said that initial discussions are underway to for the mergers of four insurers, Middle East Insurance Review reports. "The consolidation of the insurance market will be positive for the sector because it will result in entities that are able to respond to the requirements of the current situation with regards to the development of the economy," Mr. Al-Shathri said.
