Hungarian insurers' gross premiums rise more than 11%

A report by the central bank of Hungary said that local insurers' gross written premiums grew 11% to 591.5 billion Hungarian forints ($2 billion) in the first half of the year, Forinsurer reports. Risk insurance premiums increased 17.5% to HUF 333.6 billion. The insurers' net profit fell more than 1% year-over-year to nearly HUF 40 billion.
