Protests hit cargo volume in Hong Kong

Data from the Hong Kong Airport Authority showed that cargo volume dropped 11.5% year-over-year to 382,000 metric tons in August due to the ongoing political unrest in the country, Airport Technology reports. Cargo business pertaining to Southeast Asia and mainland China "decreased most significantly." Moreover, international shipping and imports fell 19% and 15%, respectively.
