Storms Podul, Kajiki cause more than $4 million damage to factories

Thailand's Industry Ministry expects storms Podul and Kajiki to have caused 133 million Thai baht ($4.3 million) worth of damage to factories, The Straits Times reports. The storms also damaged more than 400,000 homes and 3,000 square kilometers of plantations. Storm Podul hit Thailand in late August and Kajiki in early September, causing heavy rains, flash floods and mudslides in almost half the country's provinces.
