Gallagher Bassett establishes transportation practice

Gallagher Bassett Services Inc. said Wednesday it is launching GB Transportation, an integrated practice group dedicated to its transportation clients.

The Rolling Meadows, Illinois-based firm said in a statement that while it has provided claims and risk management services to transportation clients for more than 50 years, with the additional focus and dedicated resources, it is now better positioned with a multidisciplinary team to focus on best practices that support the transportation industry’s unique exposures.

Scott Hudson, GB president and CEO, said in a statement GB Transportation will focus on implementing tailored liability and workers compensation solutions.

The practice’s leaders include Senior Vice President Keith Dunlap, who is based in Scottsdale, Arizona; Account Principal Lori Ilgenfritz, who is based in Overland Park, Kansas; and April Brackett, vice president, industry marketing, who is based in Rolling Meadows.

Gallagher Bassett Services Inc., which is owned by Arthur J. Gallagher & Co., is the fourth-largest third-party administrator in Business Insurance’s latest rankings.
