More than 30 insurers ordered to go public

AHM Mustafa Kamal, Finance Minister of Bangladesh, said that 31 insurers must go public by the end of the year or their licenses will be suspended, Asia Insurance Review reported. Mr. Kamal said that the insurers were issued licenses on the condition that they will list on the capital market within three years of launching their operations. There are 46 nonlife and 32 life insurers operating in the country.
