UK insurer to merge retail and specialist brokerage

U.K.-based insurer Hyperion Insurance Group Ltd. plans to merge its retail and specialist broking businesses, Howden and RKH Specialty, under one management team, effective Oct. 1, Asia Insurance Review reports. Based out of London, Jose Manuel Gonzalez will be the chief executive of the combined group. The merger will boost the insurer's presence in Asia.
