Chris Grimes, director of insurance at Fitch Ratings Inc., said that growth of the insurance-linked securities market is expected to be driven by technological developments, new catastrophe risk models and ILS funds ability to “get close to the risk source,” Artemis reports. Mr. Grimes expects the largest ILS funds and managers to receive the highest capital inflows within the growth expected in the ILS and alternative reinsurance capital sector.
