Aspen makes executive changes at UK units

Aspen Insurance Holdings Ltd. promoted Clive Edwards to chief executive officer of its London-based units Aspen Insurance UK Ltd. and Aspen Managing Agency Ltd.
Mr. Edwards, who previously was a co-chief underwriting officer for Aspen Insurance UK, succeeds Mike Cain, who was named group chief operating officer earlier this year in a management shake-up that followed the purchase of Bermuda-based Aspen by Apollo Global Management LLC.
Aspen also named Henry MacHale and Jamie Lewis as co-chief underwriting officers for Aspen Insurance UK, for insurance and reinsurance, respectively, to succeed Mr. Edwards, Aspen said in a statement.
Mr. MacHale will retain his role as global head of specialty for Aspen Insurance and Mr. Lewis his role as head of London, Aspen Re, and specialty reinsurance global product head.
Mr. Lewis will also retain his role as deputy active underwriter of Aspen’s Lloyd’s syndicate 4711, the statement said.
