Dak Prescott

Dak Prescott doesn’t need a new contract to smack the New York Giants around. But he does need insurance to back him up just in case he gets hurt.

Jerry Jones, owner of the Dallas Cowboys, indicated his team is very close to reaching a contract extension with his star quarterback. But Mr. Prescott apparently is in no rush as he has loss-of-value and disability insurance policies and endorsement deals worth more than $50 million combined, according to an ESPN report. The insurance policies protect him if he has a career-threatening injury.

Mr. Prescott, earning $2 million this season on the last year of his rookie deal, completed 25 of 32 passes for 405 yards and four touchdowns in a 35-17 victory against the rival New York Giants on Sunday.
