Aon appoints Bermuda reinsurance executive

Aon PLC named Neville Weston to the newly created position of vice chairman of Aon’s reinsurance solutions in Bermuda, the broker said in a statement Friday.

Mr. Watson will be responsible for specialty lines and will report to Tony Fox, chairman of Aon’s reinsurance solutions in Bermuda, the statement said.

The appointment is subject to Bermuda immigration approval, the statement said.

Mr. Watson was most recently a partner and senior underwriter for the property catastrophe fund with Aeolus Capital Management Ltd.

“Neville’s experience in specialty lines, property catastrophe treaty, industry loss warranty and retrocession contracts will further strengthen the team on the island as we explore growth opportunities for our clients,” Nick Frankland, U.K. CEO of Aon’s reinsurance solutions business, said in the statement.
