Brazilian insurers' revenue rises more than 8%

Brazil's insurance confederation said that local insurers' revenues grew more than 8% year over year to 125 billion Brazilian real ($30 billion) in the first half of this year driven by damage and liabilities segments, Segs.com reported. Damage and liabilities business grew 5.5% with maritime and aeronautics sectors accounting for about 32% of the growth.
