BGC aviation, space brokerage lands former JLT exec

BGC Insurance Group, a division of U.S.-based brokerage firm BGC Partners Inc., on Tuesday said former JLT Aerospace executive Bruce Fine has joined its new specialist global aviation and space brokerage as managing partner with immediate effect.

Based in Atlanta and Chicago, Mr. Fine will report to Marcel Chad, recently appointed president of the new brokerage and will serve as managing partner for U.S. aviation and aerospace as well as president of the aviation industry financial solutions division, BGC Insurance Group said in a statement.

Mr. Fine brings more than 35 years’ experience to the role and was previously executive vice president and global aerospace manufacturers and infrastructure industry leader at JLT Specialty, the statement said.

He has held several senior aviation roles, including vice president at Alexander & Alexander Services Inc., senior vice president at Willis Global Aviation and as a managing director at Marsh LLC until 2018, BGC Insurance Group said.
