Cathay Pacific warns staff of termination if they join protests

Hong Kong-based Cathay Pacific Airways Ltd. has warned staff of possible termination if they join a planned Hong Kong strike, amid alleged political pressure from China, Channel News Asia reported citing sources. Tom Owen, a director at Cathay Pacific said that participating in strikes planned for Sept. 1 and Sept. 2 could constitute a breach of contract for employees.
