Hong Kong protests hurt Tiffany's global sales

U.S.-based jeweler Tiffany & Co. Ltd. said that the protests in Hong Kong have resulted in a 3% decline in its global net sales in the second quarter, South China Morning Post reported. Net earnings fell 6% during the quarter. Alessandro Bogliolo, chief executive of Tiffany, said, "We estimate that during the second quarter we lost nearly six full selling days in Hong Kong due to unplanned store closures."
