NFP recruits senior construction insurance specialist

NFP Corp. has recruited former Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance Inc. underwriter and JLT Specialty USA broker Cynthia Olinger to its construction practice, the New York-based brokerage announced Thursday.
Ms. Olinger, who will be a senior vice president in NFP’s San Francisco office, joined Berkshire Hathaway last year after three years at JLT. Prior to joining JLT, she spent 11 years at Aon PLC.
She will report to Doug Turk, who joined NFP from JLT as a regional managing director in June and also previously worked at Aon.
Meanwhile, on Wednesday NFP announced it had recruited Jamin Valdez as a senior vice president in its Los Angeles office. Mr. Valdez, a construction and environmental specialist, also previously worked at JLT and Aon.
