UK, Irish businesses call for $900 million fund

U.K. and Irish businesses have called for a €1 billion ($908 million) fund from the Irish government to help them withstand 'no-deal Brexit shock,' The Guardian reported. They want a portion of Ireland's €10.4 billion corporate tax intake that has been earmarked for business that will be hit by tariffs, delays in Calais and Dover and other challenges in the event of the United Kingdom crashing out of the European Union without a deal on Oct. 31.
