US-China trade war hits Mercedes-Benz, BMW

Mercedes-Benz AG has said that China's threat to bring back tariffs on U.S.-made cars may prompt it to consider assembling some 4x4s in South East Asia for export to China, The National reports. Also, an analyst at German bank B. Metzler Seel. Sohn & Co. KGaA said that the trade war would wipe out BMW's earnings by 5%-10% during the year.
