Conference, exhibition organizers postpone events in Hong Kong

Organizers of several conferences and exhibitions are scrambling to postpone events in Hong Kong amid anti-government protests, Reuters reported. Trade representatives of the world's largest diamond trading centers have asked the organizer of the Hong Kong Jewelry and Gem Fair to postpone the event, which is scheduled to be held in September. U.S.-based investment management firm BlackRock Inc. has postponed a two-day September conference as well.
