Beecher Carlson appoints health care execs

Beecher Carlson Insurance Services LLC has recruited a trio specialists to boost its health care industry practice, the broker said in a statement Tuesday.

The large account brokerage unit of Brown & Brown Inc. named Shawn Smith and Kevin Junod senior managing directors and Nick McKloskey senior vice president.

The three industry veterans join the brokerage as part of “the expansion of its National Healthcare Practice,” the statement said.

Mr. Smith was named senior managing director, South region health care leader. He joins the firm from Willis Towers Watson PLC, where he was senior vice president and health care practice leader, Florida. Mr. Smith will be based in Maitland, Florida, the statement said.

Mr. Junod was named senior managing director, South region health care leader. He joins Beecher Carlson from Marsh LLC, where he was most recently managing director and regional health care practice leader. Mr. Junod will be based in Conshohocken, Pennsylvania.

Mr. McKloskey was named senior vice president, health care. He joins Beecher Carlson from Zurich North America, where he was most recently regional vice president of distribution and specialty products. He will be based in Atlanta.

Mr. Smith and Mr. Junod will report to Berni Bussell, national health care practice leader. Mr. McKloskey will report to Ron Taylor, senior managing director, the statement said.
