Marsh appoints energy executives

Marsh LLC on Wednesday named Amy Barnes leader of its U.S. and Canada energy and power practice and said it has hired former CES Energy Solutions Corp. executive Brad Vescarelli as energy and power leader for Canada.

Houston-based Ms. Barnes will report to Pat Donnelly, head of U.S. and Canada at Marsh JLT Specialty, and Andrew George, global head of energy and power, Marsh said in a statement.

Ms. Barnes relocated to Houston from London earlier this year to assume her prior role as deputy energy and power and integration leader where she was responsible for helping shape the newly formed Marsh JLT specialty energy and power team, Marsh said.

Previously, Ms. Barnes, who joined Marsh in 2002 as an environmental insurance broker, was chief client officer for Marsh UK’s global energy and power business, Marsh said.

Mr. Vescarelli will be based in Alberta, Canada, and will report to David Richards, head of Marsh JLT Specialty in Canada and Ms. Barnes.

Ms. Barnes was one of Business Insurance’s 2017 Women to Watch.
