Wildfire ravages Spanish island

A wildfire has burned more than 3,400 hectares of forests on the Spanish island of Gran Canaria, Euronews reported citing sources. The blaze began near the town of Tejeda on Aug. 17 and has forced authorities to evacuate more than 9,000 people from the region so far.
