Hong Kong airport protests hit tech supply chains

Electronics and semiconductor companies said that protests at Hong Kong International Airport on Aug. 12 and Aug. 13 disrupted the firms' logistics and supply chains but the impact was not significant, EE Times Asia reported. Protest-related violence could also force electronics companies to reduce their dependence on Hong Kong and shift logistics operations to Shenzhen and Shanghai among other mainland Chinese cities.
