AIG Korea to expand warranty and indemnity insurance business

American International Group Inc.'s South Korean unit is looking to expand its warranty and indemnity insurance business to cover private equity funds and institutional and professional investors, The Korea Times reported. AIG Korea said that recent regulatory changes allowing venture capital firms to set up equity funds are likely to drive demand for warranty and indemnity insurance.
