ILS sector's issuances plummet

U.K.-based Willis Towers Watson P.L.C. said that the insurance-linked securities market's issuance totaled $1.7 billion in the second quarter of this year, down 57% from $4 billion in the second quarter of 2018, Asia Insurance Review reported. Willis Re Securities said that the insurance sector issued 11 catastrophe bonds in the second quarter.
