Fines for insurance irregularities explode

The China Banking and Insurance Regulatory Commission imposed fines of nearly 6 billion Chinese yuan ($851 million) for irregularities in the sector between 2017 and the first quarter of this year, Xinhua reports. The amount is more than the total of the previous ten years. Around 11,735 administrative penalties were handed out during the period.
