African swine fever could decimate breeding sector

Pig-breeding industry officials in Bulgaria expect the African swine fever outbreak to cause up to 2 billion Bulgarian levs ($1.15 billion) of damage, Reuters reported. Experts said that the country could lose its entire 600,000 pig breeding industry.
