Russian reinsurer's profit more than doubles

Russian National Reinsurance Company JSC's net profit grew 104% year-over-year to 3.02 billion Russian rubles ($46 million) in the first half of 2019, Xprimm reports. Earned reinsurance premiums increased 31% to RUB 6.15 billion, while accrued reinsurance premiums rose 21% to RUB 7.6 billion. Claims paid totaled nearly RUB 7 billion.
