FWD looks to launch operations in China

Huynh Thanh Phong, chief executive of Hong Kong-based FWD Group Management Holdings Ltd., said that the insurer is looking to launch operations in China ahead of a public offering and plans to bolster its nonlife business in Asia, Reuters reports. The insurer has applied for a license to operate a majority-owned joint venture in China. Sources said that FWD aims to launch the IPO in the second half of 2020.
