Samsung Fire, Korean Re, AIG to pay for dam collapse in Laos

Ltd., Korean Reinsurance Co. and American International Group Inc. might have to pay for the collapse of an auxiliary dam at the Xe Pian-Xe Namnoy hydropower complex in Laos in July 2018, Nikkei Asian Review reported. These insurers hold about $50 million in liability coverage between them across two policies.
