Execs join Axa XL’s London reinsurance team

Axa XL, a unit of Axa SA, on Monday named three senior executives to its London reinsurance team.

Megan Kempe has been promoted to head of U.S. property, London, effective Sept. 1, the company said in a statement. She was most recently vice president with the company, the statement said.

Nick Pascall will be joining as head of U.S. casualty treaty, effective Oct. 1, the statement said. He was most recently head of casualty reinsurance at Hiscox Re in London. He replaces Richard Pagram, who left to join Convex Group Ltd., the insurer formed earlier this year by Stephen Catlin. 

Conor Gaffney will become head of specialty, effective Sept. 1, the statement said. He was most recently head of reinsurance underwriting at Greenlight Reinsurance Ireland Ltd in Dublin. He replaces Christophe Chandler, who also joined Convex.

All three appointments will be based in London and report to Rob Littlemore, chief executive of London reinsurance, the statement said.
