Tarling returns to Marsh from Boeing

Michael Tarling, industry veteran and former risk manager at aircraft manufacturer Boeing Co., has left the company and joined Marsh JLT Specialty.
Mr. Tarling will serve as managing director and senior advisor with Marsh JLT Specialty in the aviation practice based in Chicago effective Aug. 5, a Marsh LLC spokeswoman confirmed Monday.
In the newly created role, Mr. Tarling will be responsible for senior client engagement and risk advisory services, she said.
From 2011 Mr. Tarling had served as assistant treasurer, risk management and insurance at Boeing, according to his LinkedIn profile.
Boeing did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
Prior to joining Boeing, Mr. Tarling worked at Marsh as managing director in its aviation practice from 2005 to 2011.
