Around 500,000 tons of goods lie idle at Bangladesh jetties

As many as 352 vessels carrying around 500,000 tons of goods are lying idle in different jetties of Bangladesh after water transport workers went on an indefinite strike on July 24, Dhaka Tribune reports. Business owners said that the cost of doing business will rise due to the disruption to unloading the goods.
