EU mulls regulations to curb supply chain-related deforestation

The European Union is considering creating regulations for industrial supply chains to protect forests across the world, Climate Change News reported. The European Commission said that the proposals include strengthening standards and certifications for all countries that the EU is trading with to boost deforestation-free commodities such as coffee, cocoa, palm oil, soy and timber.
