Businesses push for compensation for tech outage-related losses

Australian businesses including accountants are calling for compensation to cover losses related to frequent digital system outages, The Sydney Morning Herald reported. Damien Manuel, an official at Australia-based Deakin University, said that insurance usually covers costs related to a direct cyber attack though emerging cyber risk policies cover situations where a third party outage disrupts business operations.
