Aon, tech firm partner on sharing economy platform

Aon PLC has teamed with San Francisco-based Bunker Technologies Inc. to serve the growing on-demand, sharing economy, Aon said in a statement Wednesday.

The agreement gives Aon clients access to Bunker’s compliance platform and live certificate of insurance to help contractors, independent workers and vendors comply with insurance standards in real-time, the statement said.

Aon’s partnership with Bunker allows the broker to help clients manage proof of insurance, streamlining a process that has historically been manual, the statement said.

“Working with Bunker provides Aon with capabilities to serve digital economy players,” said Jillian Slyfield, Aon’s head of digital practice for its U.S. commercial risk team.
