China scrambles to prevent exodus by global companies

Leaving China amid US tariffs

China is looking to provide special benefits such as easing restrictions on foreign investment to dissuade 50 global companies from shifting production out of the country amid heavy U.S. tariffs, Nikkei Asian Review reported. U.S.-based Apple Inc. and Dell Inc. and Japan-based Nintendo Co. Ltd. are considering moving a part of their supply-chains out of China to Southeast Asian countries such as Vietnam.
