Retailers count costs of Hong Kong protests

The Hong Kong Retail Management Association said that recent protests hit a number of retailers’ sales since June, Bloomberg reported. Hong Kong-based cosmetics firm Sa Sa International Holdings Ltd. reported a more than 15% drop in-store sales in Hong Kong and Macau in the quarter ended June 30 while Chow Tai Fook Jewellery Group Ltd. reported an 11% decline in sales.
